About the Author

Joseph majored in creative writing in his undergrad years. He went on to film school and majored in screenwriting, graduating with honors. After graduating from film school, he went on to attend UCLA with a major in creative writing.

After graduation, his career took a turn when he was offered a job to “improve” a movie script that was in need. One good job led to another, and his career as a Script Doctor took off. But Joseph never forgot the story he was always meant to write. He put his Script Doctor gigs on the back burner and devoted all of his creative efforts into writing his sweeping saga, Boston Proper, Books One and Two.

Joseph is currently bi-coastal between NY and L.A.

Joseph has always known that he wanted to be a novelist from a young age and he started his college path with that in mind, however, his fortunes changed slightly when he was offered a job where his responsibilities included updating a movie script that required some fixes to bring it to fruition. Ever since then, Joseph had a successful career as a script doctor, a professional that enhances, corrects, and even rewrites existing scripts to make sure they are in their best possible shape.

Joseph has worked with countless scripts during his career, and as such his work might have already reached you in the past. Additionally, this experience has given him an intimate knowledge of what audiences expect out of fiction, what moves them and how to avoid the common pitfalls of any genre. Now, with all the experience he earned as a script doctor and during his time at UCLA, Joseph Caro is proud to present his first books in the form of Boston Proper, Books One and Two.

Welcome to Boston Proper

“Boston Proper” is the compelling tale of young Victoria and Xander who are in love. Fate is, in fact, the culprit.  But the Victorian Era will always attempt to destroy all that does not yield to its stifling ideals. Because Victoria is a daughter of a railroad tycoon, and Xander shovels dirt for his next meal, they are torn apart.

Separation by an entire nation, fortunes won and lost, and twin children thought to have died, must all transpire before the full gift of fate can be truly realized.

Fate made its promise long ago and cannot be undone.
